On February 3, 2025, as part of the \u00abArchives for School\u00bb<\/strong> campaign, 9th-grade students of the State Educational Institution \u00abSecondary School No.20 of Brest named after Hero of the Soviet Union D.M.Karbyshev\u00bb<\/strong> visited the State Archives of the Brest Region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Employees of the Department for the Use and Publication of Documents introduced the children to the history of the State Archives of the Brest Region and told them about the composition of the documents stored there. The children were most interested in the documents testifying to the genocide of the population during the occupation.<\/p>\n

At the end of the lecture, the students were shown the film \u00abOn the 80th Anniversary of the Liberation of Brest from the Nazi Invaders\u00bb<\/strong>, provided by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

During the introductory tour of the archive, the students also visited the archive storage facility and the laboratory for the repair and restoration of archival documents.<\/p>\n
