As part of the cooperation agreement signed between the NIA of Belarus<\/strong> and the educational institution \u00abMinsk State College of Digital Technologies\u00bb<\/strong>, an educational event was held for students of the college on January 21, 2025. Deputy Director of the NIA of Belarus for Research Sergei Ryndin<\/strong> held a lesson for students of the college on the topic \u00abHistory of the Electoral System in Belarus at the Beginning of the Twentieth Century\u00bb<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

With the help of a presentation and showing color paper copies, students were shown documents covering the elections to legislative bodies of power – the State Duma and the Constituent Assembly. The lecture was especially relevant, since many of its young listeners will go to the polls for the first time on January 26, 2025. The lecturer sought to convey to the students the fact that universal suffrage has not always been in our lands; people in the past fought for this right. However, this right imposes on each citizen a great responsibility in determining the future of their country.<\/p>\n

S. Ryndin gave an interview to the TV channel \u00abFirst Information\u00bb<\/strong>, in which he covered the events at the NIA of Belarus dedicated to the upcoming elections<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The NIA of Belarus expresses sincere gratitude to the students and teaching staff of the Minsk State College of Digital Technologies (and personally to the director Georgy Vladimirovich Kozel<\/strong>) for the hospitable reception and great interest in the documents of the National Historical Archives of Belarus<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
