On January 20, 2025, a joint meeting of the work collectives of the National Historical Archives of Belarus<\/strong> and the Belarusian Research Institute of Document Science and Archival Affairs<\/strong> was held in the conference hall of the NIA of Belarus<\/strong>, dedicated to the Single Information Day<\/strong> for January 2025.<\/p>\n

During the first part of the meeting, the topic \u00abParticipation in elections is the right and civic duty of everyone\u00bb<\/strong> was considered within the framework of the Single Information Days for the 1st quarter of 2025. Director of the NIA of Belarus Mikhail Glushakov<\/strong> and Director of BelNIIDAD Andrei Rybakov<\/strong> spoke about the importance of participating in elections. Deputy Director of BelNIIDAD Sergei Mishuk<\/strong> presented material prepared on the basis of information from the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus. In his speech, S. Mishuk explained the rights and responsibilities of voters, covered the organization of voting at polling stations and at the place of residence of voters.<\/p>\n

During the second part of the meeting, Deputy Director of the NIA of Belarus Sergei Ryndin<\/strong> acquainted the audience with the documents of the exhibition dedicated to the history of the electoral system in Belarus at the beginning of the 20th century. The exhibition presents documents that cover the elections to the State Duma of four convocations and to the All-Russian Constituent Assembly. Among the selected documents are the Manifesto of Emperor Nicholas II of August 6, 1905 on the establishment of the State Duma, a sample of the \u00abSolemn promise of members of the State Duma\u00bb of August 6, 1905, lists of voters to the State Duma, lists of candidates for deputies of the Constituent Assembly.<\/p>\n
