On December 24, 2024, the first meeting of the Youth Council of the Gomel Regional Organization of the Trade Union of Employees of State and Other Institutions<\/strong> was held. The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Gomel Regional Organization of the Trade Union of Employees of State and Other Institutions Alexander Mataras<\/strong> and a member of the standing commission of the Council of the Republic on international affairs and national security, military commissar of the Gomel region Andrei Krivonosov<\/strong>. They addressed the youth with words about the sense of patriotism and respect for the history of Belarus, values and traditions that determine the future of our country.<\/p>\n

Victoria Rudenko<\/strong>, an employee of the State Archives of the Gomel Region<\/strong>, an archivist of the 2nd category<\/strong>, who took part in the meeting of the Youth Council, was unanimously elected as the Chairperson of the Youth Council<\/strong>. The participants of the meeting adopted a work plan for the Youth Council for five years.<\/p>\n

The dialogue platform \u00abTime has chosen us!\u00bb was held as part of the council meeting. The topic of the event was to discuss the involvement of young people in the socio-political life of the country, their involvement in service in the Armed Forces of the Republic and their involvement in the fate of the Fatherland. Issues of the electoral campaign were also discussed.<\/p>\n

In continuation of the dialogue platform, the participants visited the museum in the agro-town \u00abKrasny Bereg\u00bb. The participants of the event were indelibly impressed by the museum exposition, which is dedicated to children – victims of the war, showing the life of a Soviet child in pre-war times, the horrors of the Great Patriotic War and in the post-war years. The participants laid flowers at the memorial complex to children – victims of genocide.<\/p>\n

An excursion to the Kozel-Poklevsky Museum-Estate<\/strong> introduced the participants of the event to the history of a unique architectural monument of the late 19th century in the eclectic style, which is included in the list of tourist routes of the Gomel region.<\/p>\n
