On December 12, 2024, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus<\/strong> held an award ceremony for the laureates and finalists of the Republican competition of creative works dedicated to the Year of Quality<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The scientific work \u00abAssignment of the USSR State Quality Mark to Belarusian products through the prism of archival documents\u00bb<\/strong>, prepared by employees of the information retrieval systems department of the State Institution \u00abNational Archives of the Republic of Belarus\u00bb<\/strong>, was among the best works of the competition. The laureates of the competition, head of the department O.Yu.Yurkevich<\/strong>, deputy head of the department V.Yu.Monzul<\/strong> and archivist of the scientific reference apparatus sector P.E.Kononova<\/strong>, were awarded third-degree diplomas<\/strong> in the nomination \u00abHumanities – for the Year of Quality\u00bb<\/strong> and memorable gifts.<\/p>\n

The study was devoted to the history of assigning the USSR State Quality Mark to Belarusian products in the 1960s-1980s using and introducing into scientific circulation unpublished sources from the archive funds. The historical experience of leading Belarusian enterprises in ensuring a high level and quality of products was analyzed and a conclusion was made that product quality certification is one of the most important incentives for comprehensive modernization of production and an effective means of increasing the responsibility of teams for the quality of manufactured products. The information and results obtained can be used in work on patriotic education of children and youth, developing their interest in activities to preserve the historical memory of the achievements of the Belarusian people in economic and socio-cultural life.<\/p>\n
