On December 5, as part of the \u00abArchives for School\u00bb<\/strong> campaign, students of the branch of the educational institution \u00abBelarusian Trade and Economics University of Consumer Cooperatives\u00bb \u00abMogilev Trade College\u00bb<\/strong> visited the institution \u00abState Archives of the Mogilev Region\u00bb<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In the reading room, the children got acquainted with the history of archival affairs in the Mogilev region, the specifics of the work of archivists. Documents dedicated to the history of the Great Patriotic War, the Gorki Agricultural Academy, and materials from personal funds were presented to the students.<\/p>\n

Then there was a screening of the documentary film \u00abLiberation\u00bb<\/strong>, prepared by the institution \u00abBelarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents\u00bb<\/strong> (Dzerzhinsk). The students were presented with a banner exhibition \u00abAgain, let’s look closer to the past\u00bb<\/strong>, dedicated to the defense, the period of occupation and the liberation of Mogilev from the Nazi invaders.<\/p>\n

The excursion ended with a visit to the laboratory for digitizing documents, where the students were clearly shown the process of digital processing of documents, as well as the archive storage.<\/p>\n
