On November 29 and 30, 2024, a large-scale social and cultural event \u00abUnity Marathon\u00bb<\/strong> was held in Vitebsk. As part of the event, an interactive exhibition \u00abFeats and Fates of Partisans in Documents\u00bb<\/strong> was opened in the Vitebsk Art Museum<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This exhibition is a joint project of the Publishing House \u00abSB. Belarus Today\u00bb, the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus (hereinafter – NARB) and the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo and Sound Documents<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The exhibition presents archival documents: photographs from the Great Patriotic War, descriptions of battles and fights, award sheets and combat characteristics of both famous brigade commanders, Heroes of the Soviet Union, and ordinary fighters of partisan detachments, including natives of the Vitebsk region. At the interactive stand of the project \u00abPartisans of Belarus\u00bb you can find information about your heroic ancestor, who fought the enemy in a partisan detachment during the war, and also download his award sheets.<\/p>\n

Leading archivist of the NARB, senior researcher of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus V.P.Garmatny<\/strong> conducted excursions for representatives of work collectives, schoolchildren and visitors of the event.<\/p>\n
