On November 27-28, 2024, the results of the professional competition \u00abThe Best Archivist of Belarus\u00bb were summed up<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The competition was held in two stages. The first stage was held in absentia based on the written works of the participants. This year, the theme of the competition works was defined as \u00abBelarus remembers… Little-known facts about the Great Patriotic War and the restoration of the national economy in the post-war period in archival documents\u00bb<\/strong> and is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus from the Nazi invaders.<\/p>\n

The second stage of the competition was held on the basis of the state institution \u00abNational Historical Archives of Belarus\u00bb<\/strong> in the form of the participants completing theoretical and practical tasks in the main areas of archival work and presentations of competition works.<\/p>\n

The professional competition is held every two years and enjoys great authority in the archival industry. The objectives of the competition are: identifying and supporting the best archivists who have demonstrated a high level of professionalism; forming a positive image of the archival industry and raising the public status of the archivist profession; activating the cognitive activity of archivists on the history of Belarus based on archival documents.<\/p>\n

The organizer of the competition \u00abThe Best Archivist of Belarus\u00bb was the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice<\/strong> with the active participation of the Belarusian Trade Union of Employees of State and Other Institutions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

28 archivists from all regions of the country took part in the competition.<\/p>\n

Based on the results, the competition committee announced the winners of the competition, who were:<\/strong><\/p>\n

first place – Natalia Viktorovna Kotlyarevich<\/strong>, head of the archival storage of the State Archives of the Brest Region;<\/p>\n

second place – Galina Sergeevna Zhandarova<\/strong>, leading archivist of the ZGA in Rechitsa;<\/p>\n

third place was shared by Ekaterina Maryanovna Minko<\/strong>, archivist of the first qualification category of the ZGA in Lida and Natalia Anatolyevna Pisaruk<\/strong>, head of the ZGA department in Novogrudok.<\/p>\n

The award ceremony was attended by the director of the Department of Archives and Records Management O.L.Voinov<\/strong>. and the Chairman of the Belarusian Trade Union of Employees of State and Other Institutions S.V.Potapenko<\/strong>, who noted the important place of archives in the life of Belarusian society.<\/p>\n

For high results in the competition, Potapenko S.V. was awarded diplomas of the Belarusian Trade Union of Employees of State and Other Institutions Kotlyarevich N.V., Zhandarova G.S., Minko E.M. and Pisaruk N.A.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The winners in special nominations were also noted:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dragun O.M.<\/strong> (State Archives of Minsk Region) – \u00abFor the best competition work\u00bb,<\/p>\n

Minko E.M.<\/strong> (ZGA in Lida) – \u00abFor excellent knowledge of the theory and practice of archival work\u00bb,<\/p>\n

Zhandarova G.S.<\/strong> (ZGA in Rechitsa) – \u00abFor the best presentation\u00bb.<\/p>\n

At the end of the event, the Director of the Department of Archives and Records Management O.L.Voinov thanked the participants and noted that the peculiarity of the competition was the participation of both experienced and mature archivists and young, promising archive workers.<\/p>\n

O.L.Voinov congratulated the winners and wished them further professional growth and achievements<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
