On November 18, 2024, Director of the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art (hereinafter \u2014 BGAMLI) E.A.Makarenko<\/strong> and Head of the Department of Information Search Systems and Automated Archival Technologies N.G.Pustilnik-Marchuk took part in the presentation of the exhibition project \u00abBelarusian Book in China (1946-2024) From the collection of Veronika Karlyukevich\u00bb<\/strong>, organized by The Union of Writers of Belarus in cooperation with the State Literary and Memorial Museum of Yakub Kolos.<\/p>\n

The director of the Literary Memorial Museum I.V.Matyas<\/strong>, Chairman of the Union of Writers of Belarus A.N.Karlyukevich<\/strong>, Belarusian writer, translator V.A.Shnip<\/strong>, Belarusian Slavist, literary critic, translator, Candidate of Philological sciences N.V.Trus<\/strong>, poet, novelist L.I.Rublevskaya<\/strong>, etc. delivered a welcoming speech to the participants of the presentation.<\/p>\n

Literary critic and translator V.A.Karlyukevich<\/strong> stressed that the book exhibits presented at this exhibition project give a broad idea of the iconic translations of Belarusian literature published in China in the second half of the twentieth and early twenty\u2014first centuries. The participants of the event will be able to get acquainted with Chinese editions of the works of Yakub Kolas, Yanka Kupala, Yanka Moor, Arkady Kuleshov, Kandrat Krapiva, Petrus Brovka and many other classics of Belarusian literature.<\/p>\n

An important place in her collection is occupied by second-hand copies of editions of Chinese translations of the second half of the 1940s and 1980s. Among the exhibits, you can see Chinese \u00abyellow books\u00bb of Belarusian origin \u2014 works that were translated exclusively for internal use in the second half of the 1960s and the first half of the 1970s.<\/p>\n
