On November 5, 2024, the National Library of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong> hosted the republican forum \u00abMemory of Generations for the Sake of the Future\u00bb<\/strong>. The following addressed the participants of the event with welcoming words: Deputy Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus E.A.Petrutskaya; Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee on Education, Culture and Science of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor V.V.Danilovich; Director General of the National Library of Belarus, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor V.F.Gigin; Assistant to the Minister of Defense for ideological work in the Armed Forces – Head of the Main Directorate of Ideological Work of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus, Major General L.V.Kasinsky; Head of the Department for Supervision of Investigation of Particularly Important Criminal Cases of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Belarus V.V.Tolkachev; Director of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor V.L.Lakiza<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Director of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus (hereinafter referred to as NARB) A.K.Demyanyuk<\/strong> in his welcoming speech spoke about the great work that the archive is doing to preserve historical memory and transmit it to the younger generation of Belarusians. As part of the nationwide campaign \u00abArchives to School\u00bb, excursions for students are systematically held, lectures are given, and performances by archivists are organized in educational institutions. The director of NARB also spoke about the great work of the archive in the publishing and exhibition sphere.<\/p>\n

A banner exhibition on the history of the archival service of Belarus and an exhibition of NARB book publications were presented to the forum participants, with which the visitors were introduced by the acting head of the publications department U.A.Kolobaeva<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

For the implementation of events aimed at involving children and young people in the work to preserve the historical memory of the Great Patriotic War, significant achievements in search work with children and young people, the NARB team was awarded a certificate from the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
