On October 25, the International Scientific Conference \u00abPichetovskie Readings – 2024: History: Science, Education, Memory (for the 90th anniversary of the History Faculty of BSU)\u00bb<\/strong> was held at the History Faculty of the Belarusian State University<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Vice-Rector for Research of BSU, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor A.V.Blokhin<\/strong> addressed the conference participants with a welcoming speech. He emphasized the importance of holding such a representative forum, noted the great contribution of the faculty of the History Faculty to the development of the humanities in Belarus.<\/p>\n

The Dean of the History Faculty, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor A.G.Kokhanovsky<\/strong> welcomed the forum participants and spoke about the main directions of the educational and upbringing process, which is implemented by the faculty in the training of specialists.<\/p>\n

Director of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus O.L.Voinov<\/strong> in his welcoming speech noted the glorious scientific traditions of the faculty and the high professionalism of the faculty. Special words of gratitude were expressed for the high-quality training of specialists in the field of archival affairs and office work. O.L.Voinov noted the close interaction of the republic’s archival institutions with the history faculty in the field of publishing, exhibition and scientific activities. As a gift, the Director of the Department handed over to the library of the faculty a fundamental illustrated collection of documents \u00abOperation Bagration: partisans of the Belarusian land ..\u00bb., prepared by archivists within the framework of the project \u00abLibrary of the Union State\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Director of the Institute of History of the NAS of Belarus, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor V.L.Lakiza<\/strong> noted the great joint work of the scientists of the Institute and teachers of the faculty in determining the main directions of development of historical science in Belarus.<\/p>\n

The sectional meetings were attended by the heads and employees of the archival institutions of the republic: Director of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus (NARB) A.K.Demyanyuk<\/strong> (report: \u00abActivities of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus to preserve historical memory in publishing and exhibition projects\u00bb); Deputy Head of the Department of Information Retrieval Systems of the NARB V.Yu.Monzul<\/strong> (report: \u00abThe history of assigning the USSR State Quality Mark to Belarusian products in the 1960s-1980s (based on documents from the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus); junior researcher at the NARB publications department T.V.Petyukevich<\/strong> (report: \u00abIt is not beer that is ruining people..\u00bb.: the fight against drunkenness in the BSSR during the NEP (1921-1928)\u00bb); leading archivist at the NARB publications department O.N.Borovskaya<\/strong> (report: \u00abThe funds of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus as a source of information on the development of the Belarusian-Polish cultural partnership in 1921-1939\u00bb); leading archivist at the NARB personal funds T.I.Brileva<\/strong> (report: \u00abThe resettlement of the Belarusian population from Poland to the Minsk region in 1944\u20131947\u00bb.<\/p>\n

The conference was held at a high scientific and methodological level, and the archivists’ reports aroused great interest.<\/p>\n
