The greatest interest of the guests was aroused by the heroic defense of Mogilev, as well as the facts of the genocide of the Belarusian people during the war.<\/p>\n<p>The guests also got acquainted with the work of the archive, the procedure for accessing archival documents, visited the archive storage and the laboratory for digitizing documents.<\/p>\n<p>After the excursion, the students were shown the film \u00abLiberation\u00bb in the reading room of the archive. It was prepared by the staff of the institution \u00abBelarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents\u00bb (Dzerzhinsk) as part of the project \u00abOpen Film Archive. We Brought This Day Closer as We Could\u00bb, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus from the Nazi invaders.<\/p>\n<p>Of particular interest were the facts of the forced deportation of the working population to the territory of Nazi Germany.
