On October 10, 2024, the staff of the Belarusian State Archives and Museum<\/strong> (BGAMLI) took part in the opening of the exhibition \u00abSergey Yesenin: I will tell you about my life\u00bb in the State Literary Museum of Yanka Kupala.<\/p>\n

The project was prepared by the State Museum-Reserve of S.A. Yesenin (Konstantinovo, Ryazan Region), the Moscow State Museum of S.A. Yesenin and the People’s Museum of S.A. Yesenin (Voronezh) and is dedicated to the personality of the iconic lyric poet of the Silver Age of Russian literature, a contemporary of Yanka Kupala. The exhibition story, according to the organizers, \u00abwas created as a documentary-poetic chronology and reflects the most significant events in the life and creative path of Sergei Yesenin.\u00bb<\/p>\n

The exhibition presents autographs of Yesenin’s works from different years, including the poems \u00abThe Poet\u00bb and \u00abLetter from Mother\u00bb, the poems \u00abSong of the Great Campaign\u00bb and \u00abAnna Snegina\u00bb. Photographs, documents, items from the ethnographic collection, books tell about the family, childhood, studies of Sergei Yesenin, his life in Moscow and Petrograd, literary and publishing activities, travels to the Caucasus, Europe and America.<\/p>\n

Paintings and graphic works embody the images of Sergei Yesenin and his works, landscapes of the ancient village of Konstantinovo on the banks of the Oka River, the poet’s small homeland. The vernissage was decorated with a musical program, in which students and teachers of the Belarusian State Academy of Music and the \u00abBereg\u00bb ensemble of the Republican Center of National Cultures took part.<\/p>\n

During the opening of the exhibition, BGAMLI employees shared their opinion on the importance of holding joint international projects.<\/p>\n
