The meeting with 3rd and 4th year students of the BSU Faculty of History<\/strong>, studying in the specialties \u00abHistorical and Archival Science\u00bb and \u00abDocument Science\u00bb<\/strong>, was held on the initiative of the Belarusian Research Institute of Document Science and Archival Science<\/strong>. Organizational and technical support was provided by the leadership of the faculty and the department of source studies.<\/p>\n

The meeting was held as part of the career guidance work carried out by the institute and was aimed at familiarizing students with the specifics of scientific work at BelNIIDAD, other state archival institutions, orienting them towards scientific activities, continuing their education in master’s and postgraduate programs.<\/p>\n

The meeting was opened by the Deputy Dean of the Faculty I.V.Lebedeva<\/strong>, who introduced the participants of the event and emphasized its importance.<\/p>\n

The director of the institute A.E.Rybakov<\/strong> made a presentation in which he briefly spoke about the history of the institute and the main areas of its activities.<\/p>\n

Head of the Archival Science Department S.E.Kupriyanov<\/strong> and Head of the Documentation Department E.V.Shumskaya<\/strong> informed the students about the topics of scientific research carried out in the departments they headed, focused on the most significant developments of the institute on the scale of the archival industry and the whole country.<\/p>\n

Junior researcher of the Archival Science Department I.V.Lyutarevich<\/strong> spoke about the work with young people carried out at BelNIIDAD, the activities of the primary trade union organization and the primary organization of the BRSM.<\/p>\n

The students were also shown a video film prepared by BelNIIDAD, in which young employees of the institute spoke about the benefits and advantages of studying in the master’s program, additional opportunities for professional and career growth upon obtaining a master’s degree.<\/p>\n

The event was concluded by a speech by the head of the source studies department S.N.Khodin<\/strong>, who supported the initiative proposals of BelNIIDAD, thanked its representatives for the event.<\/p>\n

The meeting was held in a warm informal atmosphere and aroused genuine interest on the part of the students.<\/p>\n
