On October 1, 2024, a meeting with first-year students of the Faculty of History of the Belarusian State University was held at the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The director of the National Archives Andrei Konstantinovich Demyanyuk addressed the future historians-archivists with a welcoming speech.<\/p>\n

He spoke about the main areas of the archive’s work, as well as the events held by the archive in the Year of Quality.<\/p>\n

The head of the department of personal funds Inessa Vladimirovna Dorogush spoke about the history of the archive, the structure, composition and features of document storage, the work of the archive in the field of publication and exhibition activities.<\/p>\n

The guests viewed the photo documentary exhibitions of the archive: \u00ab100th Anniversary of the Birth of Aleksandr Nikiforovich Aksyonov – a statesman and party figure, first secretary of the Central Committee of the LKSMB, secretary of the Central Committee of the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League, second secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Belarus, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the BSSR, Minister of Internal Affairs of the BSSR, Chairman of the USSR State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USSR to the Polish People’s Republic\u00bb, \u00abUnder the Quality Mark\u00bb, as well as the banner exhibition \u00abRepublic – Partisan\u00bb. The students visited the archive of partisan formations, where they were given a talk on the history of the partisan movement and were introduced to the personal files of the command staff of partisan detachments and brigades, combat leaflets and other documents. Dorogush I.V. answered questions of interest and spoke about the possibility of using archival documents in writing research papers.<\/p>\n

Associate Professor of the Department of Source Studies of the History Faculty of the Belarusian State University K.I. Kozak emphasized the importance of the archive in preserving the historical and cultural heritage for future generations.<\/p>\n
