This year, Minsk turned 957 years old. On this occasion, on September 16, 2024, the exhibition <strong>\u00abHistory of Minsk City Self-Government\u00bb<\/strong> opened at <strong>the National Historical Archives of Belarus<\/strong>, dedicated to the City Day of Minsk.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Head of the Research and Publication Department of the National Historical Archives of Belarus Sergei Ryndin<\/strong> spoke at a general meeting of the staff about archival documents that cover the activities of the elected administrative and judicial body in Minsk &#8211; the magistrate. The selected materials included acts of the 16th-18th centuries, reflecting the initial stage of the existence of city self-government in Minsk, materials from the fund of the Minsk City Duma, revealing the history of the building of the Minsk Town Hall in the first half of the 19th century.
