On August 22, 2024, as part of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders, employees of the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art<\/strong>, led by director Elena Aleksandrovna Makarenko<\/strong>, took part in the opening of the exhibition \u00abAlive, Pakul in Memory\u00bb<\/strong>, organized by National Center for Contemporary Arts of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The exhibition presents portraits and subject-themed works of Belarusian artists – members of the Belarusian Union of Artists and students of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts, dedicated to the events of the Great Patriotic War. To create them, the participants visited memorial complexes on the sites of concentration camps and burned villages (\u00abMaly Trostenets\u00bb, \u00abOzarichi\u00bb, \u00abOla\u00bb, \u00abKrasny Bereg\u00bb, etc.), studied the historical facts of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders, and became acquainted with thematic exhibitions of local history museums.<\/p>\n

The exhibition \u00abWe Live While We Remember\u00bb is a significant project for the patriotic education of youth with the goal of forming a citizen who is proud of his country, loves his people, honors the history of the country and its culture, and has a sense of duty to the state.<\/p>\n
