\u00ab80 years ago, a message from the Sovinformburo was heard throughout the world: \u00abThe troops of the 1st Belorussian Front, as a result of an outflanking maneuver of cavalry and tank formations in combination with a frontal infantry attack, captured the regional center of Belarus – the city of Baranovichi, an important railway junction and a powerful fortified defense area Germans covering the direction to Brest\u00bb, with these words, on July 5, 2024, the director of the state archive, Olga Ivanovna Shershen<\/strong>, began her story about the tragic events of those years for 3rd year students of the Baranovichi State College of Builders<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

During her story, Olga Ivanovna introduced the students to archival documents testifying to the feat of the Belarusian people, and read out excerpts from letters from the front. Students carefully examined the exhibition of documents, which is presented in the reading room of the state archives, and visited the archives.<\/p>\n
