On June 20, 2024, the State Institution \u00abNational Archives of the Republic of Belarus\u00bb<\/strong> was visited by participants of the republican rally of search teams \u00abWe are the heirs of Victory\u00bb<\/strong>. They are active students of educational institutions of the Republic of Belarus engaged in search and research work.<\/p>\n

Sightseeing tours of the archive were organized for two groups of participants in the republican rally. The head of the information retrieval systems department, O.Yu.Yurkevich<\/strong> spoke about the history of the archive and the main directions of its activities, the composition and features of document storage, as well as the possibility of using archival documents in writing research papers for the development of the search movement in the Republic of Belarus.<\/p>\n

Guests of the archive visited the archives of the partisan formations’ funds, where they got acquainted with the conditions for storing documents, as well as documentary sources on the history of the partisan movement, the crimes of the German occupation authorities against the civilian population and the removal of civilians of the BSSR for forced labor in Germany.<\/p>\n

Also presented to the participants of the republican rally were photo-documentary exhibitions prepared by the archive, \u00abUnder the Sign of Quality\u00bb and \u00abThe World Begins from Childhood\u00bb.<\/p>\n

A sightseeing tour organized by the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus for activists of the search movement was aimed at developing their interest in preserving the historical memory of the heroic past of the Belarusian people.<\/p>\n
