On June 17, 2024, the institution \u00abState Archive of the Gomel Region\u00bb<\/strong> (hereinafter referred to as the State Archive) and the State Treasury Institution of the Bryansk Region \u00abState Archives of the Bryansk Region\u00bb<\/strong> (hereinafter referred to as the State Archive of the Bryansk Region) held the International Scientific and Practical Conference \u00abDevelopment of Archival Affairs in the Modern Period. Problems and prospects\u00bb.<\/p>\n

In his opening remarks, Andrei Nikolaevich Suschevich<\/strong> noted that preserving and preserving the country\u2019s documentary wealth for history is the main task of state archives.<\/p>\n

At the conference, presentations were made by the director of the GAGom Andrei Nikolaevich Sushchevich<\/strong> and the director of the State Institution of BO GABO, Nadezhda Nikolaevna Antoshina<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

During the videoconference, the heads of the institutions explained what state archives are, what unique documents are stored in the institutions, and elaborated on the work that is being done to popularize archival documents through exhibitions and publications, as well as participation in scientific and scientific-practical events.<\/p>\n

The directors of the archives noted that, in general, the tasks and problems facing the archives are the same. This is, first of all, preserving the historical memory of the Great Patriotic War and the heroism of our peoples.<\/p>\n

In addition, the event participants expressed their competent opinion on the above topic, discussed the latest trends in archival processing of documents, their digitization, as well as current problems of ensuring the safety of archival documents.<\/p>\n

When summing up the results of the event, the main directions for further joint cooperation were also identified, and the importance of holding such meetings was noted.<\/p>\n
