On June 13, 2024, employees of the institution \u00abState Archive of Public Associations of the Gomel Region\u00bb<\/strong> held a film lecture as part of the project \u00abOpen Film Archive. We brought this day closer as best we could\u00bb<\/strong> for students of the state educational institution \u00abSecondary School No.3 of Gomel named after D.N.Penyazkova\u00bb<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

During the event, schoolchildren were shown the documentary film \u00abLiberation\u00bb<\/strong>, prepared by the institution \u00abBelarusian State Archive of Film, Photo and Sound Documents\u00bb<\/strong>, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders.<\/p>\n

Before the start of the session, archivist of the first qualification category in the sector of information, publication and use of documents Victoria Vladimirovna Mantsurovskaya<\/strong> told the children about the project \u00abOpen Film Archive. We brought this day closer as best we could\u00bb, which is carried out in pursuance of the Plan for the preparation and holding of festive events for the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus, approved by Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus of October 5, 2023 No.316.<\/p>\n

The children also had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with authentic documents containing memories of participants in the battles for the liberation of the Gomel region from the Nazi invaders and the personal files of Heroes of the Soviet Union.<\/p>\n

In conclusion, a sightseeing tour of the archive was held, during which the children visited exhibitions of archival documents and photographs \u00abGlorious is Man through Labor\u00bb and \u00abHeroes of the Great Victory\u00bb, which are exhibited in the reading room of the state archive.<\/p>\n
