From June 5 to 9, the archival community celebrated International Archive Week<\/strong>. Its goal is the preservation and development of the world’s archival heritage, as well as attracting the attention of the general public to the problems of archival science. Traditionally, various educational events and promotions are timed to coincide with the festive Week. The institution \u00abZonal State Archives in Molodechno\u00bb<\/strong> did not remain aloof from them.<\/p>\n

Thus, archivists actively provided consultations for citizens on biographical and genealogical issues. The work in the reading room of the archive was intense: both citizens of Belarus and other countries showed interest in the documents stored in the funds. In particular, guests from the Russian Federation were interested in searching for information about their family, for whom they were not only presented with the necessary documents, but also took a sightseeing tour of the archive, presented the most interesting cases stored in the institution\u2019s funds, and provided advice on working with the archive\u2019s reference guide and not only. Users of the reading room from a neighboring country noted the high competence of the archive specialists and the ease of working in the reading room, including with documents in electronic form.<\/p>\n

Traditionally, students from schools in the city and district also became guests of the archival institution during the Week. The excursion was held for pupils of the recreational summer camps of the State Institution \u00abKhozhov Secondary School of the Molodechno District\u00bb<\/strong> and the State Institution \u00abSecondary School No.12 of Molodechno\u00bb<\/strong>, a presentation of documentary exhibitions \u00abGenocide of the Belarusian People during the Great Patriotic War\u00bb, \u00abLiberation of Belarus from the Nazi Invaders\u00bb was organized \u00ab Students got acquainted with the history of the institution, the work of each of the archive departments, visited the archive storage and reading room, and a master class on repair and restoration of files was held for the children. As part of the excursion, the documentary film \u00abLiberation\u00bb was shown.<\/p>\n

Guests noted the importance of the work associated with storing important documents and files. And the work of archivists requires attentiveness, concentration and scrupulousness, knowledge of many instructions related to deadlines, rules and the list of storage of necessary information.<\/p>\n
