On June 6, 2024, on the eve of the International Day of Archives, a round table \u00abState Archives – Guardians of Historical Memory\u00bb was held at the institution \u00abState Archive of the Gomel Region\u00bb<\/strong> (hereinafter referred to as the State Archive).<\/p>\n

The organizer of the round table was GAG. The number of participants in the above-mentioned event was 20 people, including the following as experts: Director of the GAGom Andrei Nikolaevich Suschevich, Deputy Director of the Museum for Scientific Work of the Gomel Regional Museum of Military Glory Konstantin Sergeevich Mishchenko, Honorary Archivist of Belarus Maria Adolfovna Aleynikova, Chief Curator of Funds GIKU \u00abGomel Palace and Park Ensemble\u00bb Tatyana Alekseevna Shoda, senior lecturer at the Department of History of Belarus, EE \u00abGomel State University named after. F. Skorina\u00bb Vyacheslav Vladimirovich Tsatsarin, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs of the State Educational Institution \u00abSecondary School No. 75 of Gomel\u00bb Svetlana Mikhailovna Genchikova.<\/p>\n

In his opening remarks, Andrei Suschevich introduced the participants of the round table to the exhibition \u00abState Archives – Keepers of Historical Memory,\u00bb which presented more than 35 archival documents reflecting the history of the regional archive as a keeper of historical memory.<\/p>\n

In addition, Svetlana Anatolyevna Primakova, head of the accounting and preservation department of the State Archive, and Olga Vladimirovna Shurovskaya, head of the department of information retrieval systems and automated archival technologies, made presentations on this topic.<\/p>\n

In an open dialogue, the experts expressed their competent opinion on the above topic, exchanged experience in working with youth, and also supported the proposal of the director of the State Agencies to organize and conduct joint projects.<\/p>\n

Also, a film lecture was held for the participants of the round table, during which the documentary film \u00abLiberation\u00bb was shown, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders.<\/p>\n

At the end of the event, the round table participants thanked each other for the constructive and interesting dialogue.<\/p>\n
