The event was held as part of the \u00abArchives for School\u00bb campaign.<\/p>\n<p>In the reading room of the archive, the children got acquainted with the history of the archive; activities that archivists engage in. For schoolchildren, a museum exhibition of equipment used by archivists was presented, as well as an exhibition of archival documents.<\/p>\n<p>The head of the department for the scientific use of documents and information, Olga Trotskaya, introduced the children to documents from the archives relating to the Second World War. Among them are the verification and filtration cases of ostarbeiters &#8211; Soviet citizens who were forcibly deported to forced labor in Germany during the war.<\/p>\n<p>Also for those gathered, the film \u00abLiberation\u00bb was shown, prepared by employees of the institution \u00abBelarusian State Archive of Film, Photo and Sound Documents\u00bb (Dzerzhinsk) as part of the project \u00abOpen Film Archive.
