In the institution \u00abZonal State Archives in Mozyr\u00bb<\/strong>, from May 20 to June 1, 2024, archival practice was organized with 2nd year students of the Faculty of Philology, specialty \u00abHistory and Natural Disciplines\u00bb<\/strong> of the educational institution \u00abMozyr State Pedagogical University named after I.P.Shamyakin\u00bb<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

During the internship and as part of the \u00abArchives for School\u00bb<\/strong> campaign, students were given lessons (lectures) on the topics: \u00abArchive and its activities\u00bb, \u00abNetwork of archives in Belarus\u00ab, \u00abDigitization of archival documents\u00bb, \u00abBinding and design of the cover of archival files\u00bb, \u00abRepair and restoration of archival documents\u00bb, \u00abGenocide in archive documents\u00bb; excursions: \u00abArchival treasury\u00bb (in the archive storage room), \u00abNatives of the Mozyr region – heroes of the Soviet Union\u00bb (based on the exhibition of archival documents), etc.<\/p>\n

As part of the \u00abOpen Film Archive\u00bb project, students were shown the documentary film \u00abLiberation\u00bb<\/strong>, prepared by employees of the institution \u00abBelarusian State Archive of Film, Photo and Sound Documents\u00bb<\/strong>. Practical classes on filing, designing covers of archival files, using scientific reference tools for archive documents, fulfilling requests of a thematic, biographical and socio-legal nature, and much more. etc. did not leave a single student indifferent. Under the guidance of Associate Professor of the Department of History and Natural Disciplines of Moscow State Pedagogical University – Barsuk E.E.<\/strong> and the head of the department of information and use of documents of the state archive – E.V.Domashkevich<\/strong>, students continue to work with documents of the Polesie regional prosecutor’s office and district prosecutor’s offices: investigative files on war criminals convicted in 1944-1953. under the article \u00abtreason\u00bb; documents from industrial enterprises and educational institutions and files from regional newspapers.<\/p>\n
