On May 29, a delegation of the Archive Service of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation<\/strong>, headed by its chief and director of the Central Archive of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation<\/strong> (hereinafter referred to as TsAMO) E.A. Paderin<\/strong>, visited the National Archives of the Republic of Belaru<\/strong>s (hereinafter referred to as NARB). The meeting was also attended by the head of the archive service of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus – Director of the Central Archive of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus B. N. Gorkavy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, Russian colleagues handed over a list and copies of archival documents on the history of Operation Bagration. This is especially important in the year of the 80th anniversary of the complete liberation of the territory of Belarus from the Nazi invaders. In total, 32 archival documents were handed over, telling about the preparation and implementation of the Belarusian offensive operation. These materials will be actively used in the scientific work of the archive – in publishing and exhibition activities, as well as within the framework of the implementation of the \u00abArchives for School\u00bb and \u00abYoung Archivist\u00bb campaigns.<\/p>\n

In turn, Deputy Director of NARB E.A. Stukanova presented E.A. Paderin with a collection of documents on the Nazi punitive operation \u00abKormoran\u00bb. This is the result of a joint project with Russian archives, including TsAMO.<\/p>\n

The delegation from Russia was given a sightseeing tour of the archive (storage, reading room), and publishing projects and the most interesting and informative original documents on the history of the Great Patriotic War were demonstrated.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, issues of further interaction between archives (participation in publishing and exhibition projects, work to identify new documents, and others) were also discussed.<\/p>\n
