On May 24, 2024, at the site of the State Archive of Public Associations of the Gomel Region<\/strong>, under the leadership of the head of the department for coordinating legal, control and archival work of the Main Department of Justice of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee, N.V.Sokolova<\/strong>. A meeting was held with the participation of directors of state archival institutions of the Gomel region.<\/p>\n

The purpose of the event is to discuss the current results of the archival industry in the region. Such meetings are certainly an effective tool for communication, because they provide an opportunity not only to discuss work issues, but also to share experiences and exchange opinions on current areas of development of archiving and record keeping.<\/p>\n

As part of the event, the director of the State Archive of Public Associations of the Gomel Region, I.V.Zhineva<\/strong>. conducted a sightseeing tour of the archives for those present and familiarized them with the conditions for storing documents.<\/p>\n

At the end, the guests were presented with exhibitions of archival documents, one of which was \u00abHeroes of the Great Victory\u00bb<\/strong> about the Heroes of the Soviet Union – natives of the Gomel region, prepared by archivists in the year of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong> from the Nazi invaders, and the second – \u00abMan is Glorious Through Labor\u00bb<\/strong>, which dedicated to the Year of Quality. The basis of this exhibition is made up of documents and photographs identified in the state archives, telling about the outstanding workers of the city of Gomel and the Gomel region who were awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor.<\/p>\n
