On May 18, 2024, a round table \u00abSoldier of Victory Vasil Bykov\u00bb<\/strong> was held in the Vitebsk Regional Library named after V.I.Lenin<\/strong>, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the people’s writer of Belarus, Hero of Socialist Labor, participant in the Great Patriotic War, native of the Vitebsk region Vasil Bykov. At the event, Deputy Director Tatyana Vladimirovna Buevich<\/strong> presented the project \u00abOpen Film Archive. We brought this day closer as best we could\u00bb<\/strong> and the film \u00abLiberation\u00bb<\/strong> was shown.<\/p>\n

The round table was attended by representatives of the Writers’ Unions of Belarus and Russia, literary scholars, museum experts and archivists, as well as students of secondary specialized institutions in Vitebsk, etc.<\/p>\n

On the same day, as part of the international event dedicated to the International Day of Museums<\/strong> – \u00abNights of Museums\u00bb on the basis of the cultural institution \u00abVitebsk Regional Museum of Hero of the Soviet Union M.F.Shmyrev\u00bb<\/strong> Tatyana Buevich presented the project \u00abOpen Film Archive. We brought this day closer as best we could\u00bb with the demonstration of the films \u00abLiberation of Vitebsk\u00bb and \u00abLiberation\u00bb (Belarus) for Vitebsk residents who took part in the event.<\/p>\n
