On May 16, 2024, on the basis of the Novogrudok regional library<\/strong>, a joint event with the Zonal State Archive in Novogrudok<\/strong> was held to mark the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders – the literary and patriotic marathon \u00abForever in the memory of the people\u00bb<\/strong>. Its participants were students of the Novogrudok Trade and Economic College.<\/p>\n

Library workers presented the book exhibition \u00abChronicle of Victory. 80th Anniversary of Liberation\u00bb, the exhibition center of which was made up of a map of the \u00abCitadel of Courage\u00bb, depicting 36 settlements awarded the pennant \u00abFor courage and fortitude during the Great Patriotic War\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Director of the State Archives A.S. Zabelinskaya<\/strong> spoke about the tragic page in the history of Novogrudok during the war period, and also presented the documentary exhibition \u00abWe Stood and Won\u00bb, which shows documents and photographs about the occupation of Novogrudok, the genocide of civilians, and the persistent struggle for liberation.<\/p>\n

Those present were offered a newsreel film about the liberation of Grodno, prepared by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo and Sound Documents<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
