As part of the republican action \u00abArchives for School\u00bb<\/strong> and the pilot project \u00abYoung Archivist\u00bb<\/strong>, as well as in accordance with the work plan of the branch of the Department of History of Belarus and Political Science of the Educational Institution \u00abBrest State University named after A.S.Pushkin\u00bb<\/strong> in the institution \u00abState Archive of the Brest Region\u00bb<\/strong> for the 2023\/2024 academic year on April 26, 2024 in the reading room of the archive on the street. Engelsa, 8, a master class was held for 1st year students of the Faculty of History \u00abWorking in the archive: heuristics, tactics and strategy\u00bb<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Leading archivist of the department of use and publication of documents Krischenko V.O.<\/strong> told students about the organizational and methodological aspects of searching for the necessary information in archival documents, about the composition of the scientific reference apparatus for documents, which facilitates search work, about the procedure for independent work in the reading room of the archive, and the preparation of the necessary documentation.<\/p>\n

The children also visited the archive library, which contains about 21 thousand books and printed publications from different historical periods.<\/p>\n
