On April 25, 2024, the International Round Table \u00abNazi punitive operations on the territory of Belarus during the Great Patriotic War\u00bb<\/strong> was held at the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong> (NARB). The forum was organized by NARB, the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, and Polotsk State University named after Euphrosyne of Polotsk<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

NARB Director A.K.Demyanuk<\/strong> addressed the participants of the round table with a welcoming speech.<\/p>\n

The event was attended by: leading researcher of the Publications Department of NARB, Ph.D. V.D.Selemenev<\/strong>, who spoke in detail about the punitive operations \u00abDrizzling Rain\u00bb and \u00abSpring Festival\u00bb; Researcher at the Center for Military History of Belarus at the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus V.N.Nadtochaev<\/strong> spoke about the activities of the secret field police using the example of the punitive operation \u00abSpring Holiday\u00bb; leading researcher of the same center, candidate of historical sciences, associate professor A.A.Krivorot<\/strong> presented a report \u00abPunitive operations of the German occupiers during a relative pause in the Belarusian direction of the Soviet-German front (April-June 1944)\u00bb; Leading researcher at the Center for General History, International Relations and Geopolitics, Ph.D., Associate Professor V.G.Shumilov<\/strong> spoke about the scientific and methodological apparatus for verifying the destroyed (damaged) settlements of Belarus during the Great Patriotic War; Head of the Department of History and Tourism of Polotsk State University named after Euphrosyne of Polotsk, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor A.I.Korsak<\/strong> presented an analytical summary of the factual data of the destroyed and damaged rural settlements of Belarus during the Nazi occupation; Professor of the Higher School of Social Sciences of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, Doctor of History, Associate Professor E.E.Krasnozhenova<\/strong> presented the report \u00abCity of hunger, blockade and death: the blockade of Leningrad as a crime of Nazism\u00bb.<\/p>\n

The participants’ presentations sparked a lively and constructive discussion.<\/p>\n
