April 23, 2024 on the basis of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong> (NARB) as part of the round table \u00abPrisoners. Memory: 1941-1945\u00bb<\/strong> a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the NGO \u00abBelarusian Peace Foundation\u00bb<\/strong>, the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong> and the Belarusian Orthodox Church<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The subject of this memorandum is the activities of the parties aimed at perpetuating the memory of prisoners who suffered from the actions of Nazi criminals and their accomplices, through support of the project \u00abPrisoners. Memory: 1941-1945\u00bb<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Metropolitan Veniamin of Minsk and Zaslavl<\/strong> made a presentation on \u00abThe activities of the Belarusian Orthodox Church in preserving historical memory\u00bb<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Chairman of the Board of the NGO \u00abBelarusian Peace Foundation\u00bb addressed the participants of the event with a welcoming speech M.V.Misko<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Director of the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus O.L.Voinov<\/strong> presented a report on the topic \u00abActivities of archival institutions of the Republic of Belarus for the preservation of historical memory\u00bb<\/strong>. He emphasized that over the past few years, archives have become not only centers for storing documentary archival funds, but, in fact, educational and educational centers. A lot of work is being done by the archival institutions of the republic on the patriotic education of youth.<\/p>\n

At the conclusion of his speech, O.L.Voinov noted that Belarusian society cannot develop without a comprehensive study, generalization and use of historical experience, therefore the information potential of archives is a strategic resource that ensures cultural, intellectual and spiritual progress. The main goal of the archive is to bring historical truth to society and pass on historically significant documents to future generations.<\/p>\n

The Director of the Department expressed confidence that the implementation of the designated project will contribute significantly to the awareness-raising work carried out in the industry.<\/p>\n

Juvenile prisoners of fascist concentration camps, representatives of the Republican Association of Juvenile Prisoners of Fascist Concentration Camps E.A.Khrol<\/strong> and V.S.Klimenkov spoke about the need to create the website\u00abUznik.by\u00bb<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

The round table was attended by juvenile prisoners of Nazi camps, chairmen of regional and Minsk city branches of the Peace Foundation, students of the Belarusian State University and the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radio Electronics.<\/p>\n
