On April 23, 2024, a training seminar was held at the State Archive of the Gomel Region<\/strong> (hereinafter referred to as the State Archive) by representatives of the Gomel City Department for Emergency Situations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The event was opened by the director of the State Fire Administration A.N.Suschevich<\/strong>, noting that knowledge and compliance with fire safety rules is the duty of every citizen of our country.<\/p>\n

The seminar included theoretical and practical parts. During the theoretical part, N.L.Chornenkiy, inspector of the Fire and Rescue Department of the Gomel State Emergency Situations Service<\/strong>, said that the \u00abFor Safety Together\u00bb campaign, which is aimed at preventing fires and deaths from them, has started in the Republic of Belarus. The inspector dwelled in detail on the main causes of fires, spoke about the primary fire extinguishing means and the algorithm of actions in case of fires, and also recalled the need to maintain autonomous fire detectors in good condition.<\/p>\n

Before starting the practical part of the lesson, an inspector from the city emergency department talked about how to properly use a fire extinguisher in the event of a fire. The regional archive team, under his leadership, applied the acquired knowledge on using a powder fire extinguisher in practice. All GAG employees coped with the task.<\/p>\n

At the end of the meeting, inspector N.L.Chornenkiy of the Fire and Rescue Department of the Gomel Civil Emergency Situations Department recommended that the archive workers download the application \u00abMinistry of Emergency Situations of Belarus: Help is Near\u00bb<\/strong>, one of the most important tasks of which is to help a person act effectively in the event of a fire.<\/p>\n
