As part of the republican action \u00abArchives for School\u00bb<\/strong> and the pilot project \u00abYoung Archivist\u00bb<\/strong>, as well as in accordance with the work plan of the branch of the Department of History of Belarus and Political Science of the Educational Institution \u00abBrest State University named after A.S.Pushkin\u00bb<\/strong> at the institution \u00abState Archives of the Brest Region\u00bb<\/strong> for the 2023\/2024 academic year. On April 3, 2024, a workshop was held for 3rd year students of the Faculty of History on the topic: \u00abMicrohistory in archival documents: the history of personalities, families , populated areas\u00bb<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

During the event, the director of the State Archive of the Brest Region A.G.Karapuzova<\/strong> spoke about the source study potential of documents stored in the archive for studying the history of families and settlements in different historical periods.<\/p>\n

Students shared their experience of genealogical archival research in the National Historical Archive of Belarus.<\/p>\n

At the end, Anna Karapuzova answered students\u2019 questions and invited them to continue studying archival documents on their own in the archive reading room.<\/p>\n
