Tragedy and memory.\u00bb"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On the eve of the 81st anniversary of the tragedy of the village of Khatyn, as well as within the framework of the \u00abArchives to School\u00bb campaign and events dedicated to the Year of Quality, March 21, 2024, with 5th grade students of the state educational institution \u00abSecondary School No. 7 of Orsha\u00bb Leading archivist of the document use department <strong>Gryadovka Yu.I<\/strong>. An information hour was held on the topic: \u00abKhatyn. Tragedy and memory.\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>The children got acquainted with archival documents, photographs, learned about the events that took place in the village of Khatyn and the fate of its inhabitants, as well as about the memorial complex created at the site of the tragedy.<\/p>\n<p>During the war, the Nazis carried out more than 140 major anti-partisan punitive operations in the occupied territory of Belarus. Their main goal is to destroy the partisans. However, in fact, the main blow fell on the civilian population. Villages were burned, residents were destroyed and taken away for forced labor, their property, livestock, and agricultural products were robbed.<\/p>\n<p>The bells of Khatyn should remind of the tragic fate of Belarusian villages. Khatyn alarm is a memory and a warning.<\/p>\n<p>It was the dedication, resilience, and genuine love for the Motherland of front-line soldiers and home front workers that determined the outcome of the most terrible war in human history and saved the peoples of the planet from extermination, slavery, and the destruction of national and cultural identity.
