The tragedy of Soviet citizens forcibly taken to Germany during the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945)\u00bb"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On February 19, 2024, as part of the <strong>\u00abArchives to School\u00bb<\/strong> campaign, the institution <strong>\u00abState Archives of the Gomel Region\u00bb<\/strong> (hereinafter referred to as the State Archive) conducted a lesson for students of the State Educational Institution <strong>\u00abSecondary School No.75\u00bb<\/strong> on the topic: <strong>\u00abTest of bondage. The tragedy of Soviet citizens forcibly taken to Germany during the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945)\u00bb<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the event is to study history, for students to understand their social identity as a citizen of their country, to cultivate a sense of patriotism and respect for the historical heritage.<\/p>\n<p>During the event, Senior Researcher of the Department of Information, Publication and Use of Documents by the State Agencies <strong>Drozdova A.M.<\/strong> taught a lesson \u00abThe Test of Captivity. The tragedy of Soviet citizens forcibly taken to Germany during the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945)\u00bb. During the conversation with schoolchildren, they talked about the events of the Great Patriotic War, the policy of Nazi Germany towards eastern workers (Ostarbeiters) citizens of the USSR, taken to forced labor in favor of the Third Reich, preserving the historical memory of cruel treatment and death of the population during the Great Patriotic War .<\/p>\n<p>Also, students had a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the exhibition <strong>\u00abThe Fates of Belarusian Citizens Captured into German Slavery. Surviving is a feat\u00bb<\/strong>. Each archival document in the exhibition contains a brief annotation, which allows you to complement the direct perception of the exhibits.
