On November 23-24, 2023, the director of the Department of Archives and Records Management O.L.Voinov<\/strong> visited state archival institutions of the Gomel region<\/strong>, where he held working meetings with archive directors, got acquainted with the working conditions of archivists and the state of the material and technical base of archival institutions.<\/p>\n

As part of the working visit, O.L.Voinov met with the Chairman of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee I.I.Krupko<\/strong>, the Manager of the Zhlobin District Executive Committee L.V.Panglish<\/strong>, the Head of the Main Department of Justice of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee A.S.Kamalyev<\/strong>, at in which issues of the long-term development of archival institutions in the region and updating the material and technical base of archives were discussed.<\/p>\n

During the working trip, O.L.Voinov got acquainted with the progress of work on the reconstruction of the building of the State Archives of the Gomel Region<\/strong> on the street for archival storage Kosarev, 23 and heard a report from the director of the archive A.N.Sushchevich<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Particular attention of the Director of the Department was paid to the territorial archives of the region, problematic issues of the activities of which were considered in the Department of Archives and Records Management on November 15, 2023 at the republican seminar-meeting \u00abTopical issues of the activities of territorial (city and district) archives of local executive and administrative bodies\u00bb<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

During the trip, O.L.Voinov got acquainted with the activities of the Zhlobin district<\/strong> and Gomel city territorial archives<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

During the visit on November 23, the Director of the Department O.L.Voinov took part in the ceremonial events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Gomel from the Nazi invaders<\/strong>, organized within the framework of the project \u00abGomel region in the fire of war\u00bb in pursuance of the Plan for the preparation and implementation of events for celebrating the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus from the Nazi invaders and the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. On the occasion of the anniversary, the archival institutions of the Gomel region, the National Archive of the Republic of Belarus and the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo and Sound Documents presented photo-documentary projects \u00abGomel Unbroken\u00bb in the Gomel Regional Museum of Military Glory and \u00abGomel People\u2019s Militia Regiment: History, Feat, Memory\u00bb in the Gomel Regional Library named after. Lenin, an illustrated album \u00abGomel People’s Militia Regiment\u00bb was also published. As part of the \u00abOpen Film Archive\u00bb project, the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo and Audio Documents prepared a documentary film \u00abTo the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Gomel from the Nazi invaders\u00bb, which was shown during the presentation of exhibitions with the participation of leaders and public figures of the Gomel region.<\/p>\n

In his speech, O.L.Voinov emphasized that the war occupies a special place in the history of the country. Belarus was the first of the Union republics to feel the blow of the invaders – the offensive of well-trained German troops. Every meter of our land is soaked in the blood of Red Army soldiers, partisans, underground fighters and civilians. The exhibition will be permanent. As the country liberates, other regions will join it.<\/p>\n

O.L.Voinov presented the Gomel Regional Museum of Military Glory<\/strong> with certificates of registration of official heraldic symbols – the emblem and flag of the museum, included in the State Heraldic Register of the Republic of Belarus.<\/p>\n

Director of the Department O.L.Voinov noted the significant contribution to the development of archival affairs in the Republic of Belarus by archivists of the State Archives of the Gomel Region<\/strong> and the Zonal State Archive in Zhlobin<\/strong>, awarding the teams of these archives with Certificates of Honor from the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
