On October 17, 2023, the History Faculty of the Belarusian State University (BSU) hosted a round table “Minsk Ghetto: History and memory (to the 80th anniversary of the destruction)”<\/strong>. The forum participants were students and teachers of BSU, representatives of the National Archive of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong> (NARB), BelTA, secondary school No. 62 in Minsk.<\/p>\n

The meeting was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of History, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor A.G. Kohanovsky<\/strong>. He noted the importance of studying the tragic events of the history of the Great Patriotic War, as well as broadcasting this knowledge to the younger generation of Belarusians.<\/p>\n

S.V. Kulinok<\/strong>, Head of the Publications Department of the NARB, Candidate of Historical Sciences, made a report “Documentary publications of the National Archive of the Republic of Belarus on the history of the Holocaust in Belarus”. He spoke about the collections of documents published by the archive on this topic, noted their informative potential and significance for Belarusian historiography.<\/p>\n

The event aroused keen interest among pupils and students.<\/p>\n
