On October 12, 2023, the scientific conference \u00abXXI Archival Readings\u00bb<\/strong> was held at the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art<\/strong>. The main theme of the conference is \u00abAnniversaries of 2023: forests and declines in the natural history of archival and museum materials\u00bb<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

13 applications were submitted to participate in the readings. A total of 35 people took part, among whom were employees of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, BNTU, BGAMLI, NARB, BGAKFFD, Vitebsk Regional Museum of Local Lore, Lida Historical and Art Museum, Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve \u00abZaslavye\u00bb, 2nd and 4th year students specialty \u00abHistorical and Archival Studies\u00bb of the Faculty of History of BSU.<\/p>\n

The welcoming speech was taken by the Deputy Director of the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art Elena Makarenko<\/strong>, Honorary Archivist of the Republic of Belarus Anna Zapartyko<\/strong>, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Source Studies of the Faculty of History of the Belarusian State University Mikhail Shumeiko<\/strong> spoke at the plenary session.<\/p>\n

The work of the conference sections was fruitful and interesting, touching on a variety of issues of national history, literature and culture. Elena Makarenko and Olga Shatalova were appointed section leaders.<\/p>\n

During the conference, a presentation of the exhibition \u00abZakhanaya in creativity\u00bb<\/strong>, dedicated to Z. Astapovich-Bocharova, took place.<\/p>\n

Galina Skrygan<\/strong>, a musicologist, handed over to BGAMLI for permanent state storage the documents of her father, the Belarusian writer, poet, short story writer, publicist and critic Yanka Skrygan<\/strong>, and congratulated everyone present on Archivist Day<\/strong>, which was a week ago.<\/p>\n
