On October 4, 2023, a joint meeting of the boards of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong> and the Federal Archive Agency (Russian Federation)<\/strong> took place in Minsk (on the basis of the National Library of Belarus<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

The delegation of archivists of the Republic of Belarus was headed by the director of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus O.L.Voinov<\/strong>, the delegation of Russian archivists was headed by the Head of the Federal Archive Agency A.N.Artizov<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

During the work of the boards, the question \u00abAbout work with documents of personal origin in the state archives of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation\u00bb<\/strong> was considered.<\/p>\n

Head of the Department of Organizational Work, Information and Document Use G.S.Zholnerkevich<\/strong> spoke with information on the stated question from the Belarusian side, and E.A.Tyurin<\/strong>, director of the Russian State Archive of Economics, from the Russian side.<\/p>\n

In the reports of the speakers, the main issues related to the completion of state archives with documents of personal origin, ensuring their safety and use were identified. It was indicated that in the organization of work with documents of personal origin, the most difficult stages are the stages of their collection and evaluation of value, which determine the documents and funds that have the greatest historical significance.<\/p>\n

The main method of formation of funds, which include documents of personal origin in the archives of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation, is the conclusion of donation contracts with citizens.<\/p>\n

Following the discussion of the issue, a joint decision was signed by the heads of archival services.<\/p>\n

A.E.Tsvetkov<\/strong>, deputy director of the Department of Archives and Records, delivered a report on the implementation of the 2023 Joint Action Plan of the Federal Archives Agency and the Department of Archives and Records of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus for 2023-2025.<\/p>\n

Within the framework of the exchange of experience on issues of fire safety of state archival institutions, prevention and liquidation of emergency situations, the head of the department-deputy head of the Federal Archive Agency of the Russian Federation G.A.Khabibulina<\/strong>, deputy head of the department of record-keeping, formation and security of the Department of Archives and Record-keeping A.V.Kochetkova<\/strong>, chairman of the Archive Committee of the Novgorod region M.N.Panteleychuk<\/strong>, director of the State Archive of the Minsk region Yu.S.Romashko<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
