On September 8, on the basis of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong> (NARB) a visiting workshop \u201cHistorical memory: the relevance of research and the need for preservation\u201d was held. History of the Great Patriotic War in the documents of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus: preserving memory and nurturing patriotism.\u201d<\/p>\n

The chairman of the Moscow district organization of Minsk ROO “Belaya Rus” and the chairmen of the primary organizations of the ROO “Belaya Rus” of the district took part in it.<\/p>\n

The director of NARBA.K. addressed the forum participants. Demjanjuk<\/strong>who spoke about the main directions of the archives\u2019 work, the composition of documents and the ongoing work to popularize history.<\/p>\n

Head of the Publications Department of NARB, Ph.D. S.V. Kulinok<\/strong>presented a lecture \u201cOn the genocide of the population of Belarus during the Great Patriotic War,\u201d in which he spoke about the main legal documents of Nazi Germany regarding the policy of extermination of the civilian population, and also dwelled in detail on the main forms and methods of implementing the practice of genocide in occupied territory of Belarus.<\/p>\n

Forum participants were presented with a documentary exhibition on the history of the partisan movement in the BSSR, as well as an exhibition dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of a prominent party figure and partisan commander, Hero of the Soviet Union V.Z. Korzha.<\/p>\n

Head of the Department for the Use of Documents and InformationM.A. Starostenko<\/strong>and funds of personal originI.V. Dorogush<\/strong>gave sightseeing tours of the archive for the event participants.<\/p>\n

In conclusion, NARB Director A.K. Demyanyuk presented the chairman of the Moscow district organization of Minsk with the ROO \u201cBelaya Rus\u201dI.V. Tsybin<\/strong>popular science publication \u201cArchives. Nothing but the truth” is a joint project of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus and BelTA.<\/p>\n
