On July 7, 2023, a creative evening dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the birth of Yuri Alexandrovich Marukhin<\/strong>, Honored Art Worker of the Republic of Belarus, laureate of international and all-Union film festivals, cameraman, film director (13.07.1938 – 20.12. 2001).<\/p>\n

The event was organized by the Vladimir Gostyukhin International Fund for Social and Economic Support of Cultural and Art Workers, Rossotrudnichestvo, the Institute of Art History, Ethnography and Folklore named after V.I. K.Krapiva of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.<\/p>\n

The invited guests, among whom were the sculptor, People’s Artist of Belarus I.Ya.Misko, People’s Artist of Belarus T.G.Markhel<\/strong>, warmly recalled their colleague and friend Yu.A.Marukhin and his invaluable contribution to the national screen art. Yuri Alexandrovich Marukhin is the author of over 10 documentaries<\/strong> (\u00abMinsk\u00bb, \u00abSoldiers\u00bb, etc.), director of photography of 14 feature films<\/strong> (\u00abWait for me, Anna\u00bb, \u00abTime has chosen us\u00bb, \u00abLion’s Grave\u00bb, etc.) , director of 4 feature films<\/strong> (\u00abMother of the Hurricane\u00bb, \u00abRadunitsa\u00bb, etc.).<\/p>\n

In her speech, Deputy Director of the institution \u00abBelarusian State Archive of Film and Photo Documents\u00bb E.M.Grinevich<\/strong> noted the extraordinary talent of Yu.Marukhin, his special creative style, which contributed to the professional and aesthetic growth of the Belarusian art and documentary cinema. She also covered the composition of documents about the Belarusian director, as well as film and video documents stored in the archive.<\/p>\n
