As part of the republican campaign \u00abArchives for School\u00bb<\/strong>, held in accordance with the republican action plan for holding the Year of Peace and Creation<\/strong> in 2023, highlighting topical issues of preserving the heroic heritage and historical truth in various periods of the life of the Belarusian people is one of the main tasks of state archival institutions.<\/p>\n

The solution of these problems, among other things, is facilitated by the work carried out by the state institution \u00abCentral Laboratory for the Preservation of Documents of the National Archival Fund of the Republic of Belarus\u00bb<\/strong> on the professional orientation of future young professionals and strengthening their own human resources.<\/p>\n

So, since June 26, 3rd year students of the Faculty of History of BSU, who are educated in the specialty \u00abHistorical and Archival Studies\u00bb and 2nd year students of the same faculty, who are educated in the specialty \u00abHistory\u00bb, have been practicing in the laboratory.<\/p>\n

Over the past week, students have gained practical experience in microbiology, hygienic cleaning and binding of archival documents.<\/p>\n

Well, the test of acquired knowledge was carried out in a non-trivial way – each of the students acted as a speaker and introduced his fellow students to the peculiarities of the work of the area where he is doing practice.<\/p>\n

It is worth noting with satisfaction that all student interns showed a genuine interest in mastering technological processes, and the level of presentation of material by them to their fellow students allows us to judge the successful consolidation of theory in practice.<\/p>\n

Students with interest accepted the information about the possibility of attending practical classes in the 4th year of study on the academic discipline \u00abFundamentals of microfilming and restoration of paper-based documents\u00bb at the laboratory, as well as undertaking pre-diploma practice with possible subsequent employment.<\/p>\n
