June 13, 2023 was a rich and eventful day for archive workers. As part of the events dedicated to the Year of Peace and Creation<\/strong>, the \u00abArchives to School\u00bb<\/strong> campaign and the International Week of Archives<\/strong>, employees of the Belarusian State Archive of Film and Photo Documents<\/strong> conducted an excursion for students and teachers of the State Educational Institution \u00abSecondary School No.4 of Dzerzhinsk\u00bb<\/strong> and 2 film lectures for students and teachers of the State Educational Institution \u00abGymnasium in Dzerzhinsk\u00bb<\/strong>. The total number of visitors to the archive was about 80 people.<\/p>\n

During the visit to the archive, the guests were able to get acquainted with the exhibition \u00abThe Difficult Path to Victory\u00bb. The exhibition exposition unites 6 stands: \u00abA country on fire\u00bb, \u00abOccupied childhood\u00bb, \u00abTemples under enemy gunpoint\u00bb, \u00abPartisan Republic\u00bb, \u00abHard path to Victory\u00bb, \u00abFeat is immortal\u00bb. Students and teachers of the State Educational Institution \u00abSecondary School No.4 of Dzerzhinsk\u00bb visited the departments of technical control, digitization of documents and laboratories for the restoration of documents.<\/p>\n

In the reading room of the archive, students and teachers of the State Educational Institution \u00abSecondary School No. 4 of Dzerzhinsk\u00bb and the State Educational Institution \u00abGymnasium of Dzerzhinsk\u00bb were told about archiving in the Republic of Belarus and the main milestones in the formation and development of the BGAKFFD, as well as students and teachers were able to get acquainted with printed materials of the archive, photographic equipment and various types of media for film, video and audio documents used in the past – cameras, video cassettes, gramophone records, magnetic tapes, positive and negative film.<\/p>\n

The visit to the archive for students and teachers of the State Educational Institution \u00abSecondary School No. 4 of Dzerzhinsk\u00bb ended with watching fragments of the film \u00abCountdown. Belarusian space. Secret Topic\u00bb (2011), and for students and teachers of the State Educational Institution \u00abGymnasium of Dzerzhinsk\u00bb by watching two parts of the documentary \u00abLiberation of Soviet Belarus\u00bb (1944).<\/p>\n
