On May 23, 2023<\/strong>, in the institution \u00abBelarusian State Archive of Cinema and Photographic Documents\u00bb<\/strong> (hereinafter – BGAKFFD) as part of the \u00abArchives – School\u00bb<\/strong> campaign, SHAG and the Year of Peace and Creation, an excursion was held for students of the 4th\u00abB\u00bb class<\/strong> of the State Institution of Education \u00abGymnasium No.1 of Dzerzhinsk\u00bb<\/strong>, as well as a ceremonial reception and presentation of the archive of photographs and film documents from the personal archive of the Lysak family<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Partisan of the Bobruisk detachment No.752 Lysak Ivan Ivanovich<\/strong> was awarded two orders of the Great Patriotic War of the 1st and 2nd degrees, the Order of the Red Star, medals \u00abFor courage\u00bb and \u00abFor combat merits\u00bb, the medal \u00abPartisan of the Patriotic War\u00bb of the 1st degree. His wife, Viktoria Andreevna Podvinskaya<\/strong>, is an honored teacher of the BSSR, a knight of the Order of the Patriotic War of the II degree, the Order of Glory of the III degree, the owner of many medals.<\/p>\n

During the event, the leading archivist of the Department of Document and Information Use Garelik Mikhail Vladimirovich<\/strong>, told the students about the archive: the collection of funds, the peculiarities of document storage, and the variety of audiovisual information carriers.<\/p>\n

The students visited the reading room of the archive, where they got acquainted with a collection of photographs from the albums of N.S.Tagrin<\/strong>, V.I.Kaleda<\/strong>, and E.Tomashevskaya-Radziwill<\/strong>. Of particular interest to the students was the story about the possibilities of searching for information with the help of an automated search system. Young visitors were also shown the work of the technical control department and the document restoration laboratory. Schoolchildren were able to see with their own eyes the work of the archivists of these departments, aimed at preserving documents from the funds of the BHAKFFD.<\/p>\n

In the cinema hall of the archive, the students were introduced to the history of the Lysak family, then the presentation \u00abLet’s remember!\u00bb<\/strong>, made up of photos of the Lysak family, as well as the film \u00abChildren’s Fathers – Fathers of Fathers\u00bb<\/strong>, in which V.A.Podvinskaya and I.I.Lysak gives an interview to the correspondents of the German Democratic Republic and tells how they defended their native symbols of the state, fought for a peaceful sky, and trained children in a partisan unit.<\/p>\n

The event was held on the eve of International Children’s Day. The deputy head of the OTC department, T.V.Arinovich<\/strong>, held a quiz and a lottery for the students, as well as a screening of animated films from the archives. The children were congratulated on the end of the school year.<\/p>\n

The director of the archive A.N.Honchar<\/strong> thanked teacher Olga Viktorovna Shinkarenko<\/strong>, student 4 \u00abB\u00bb Valery Lysak and her family for the transferred documents and their indifferent attitude to history.<\/p>\n
