On May 16, 2023, as part of the Republican campaign \u00abArchives for School\u00bb<\/strong> and the Year of Peace and Creation<\/strong> declared in the Republic of Belarus, a seminar was held in the National Historical Archives of Belarus<\/strong> on the academic discipline \u00abConfessional Archives of Belarus\u00bb<\/strong> for 2nd year students of the Faculty of History of the Belarusian State University<\/strong> (specialty \u00abHistorical and archival studies\u00bb). The event was jointly prepared and held by Associate Professor of the Department of Source Studies of the Faculty of History of the Belarusian State University, Candidate of Historical Sciences Zinaida Antonovich<\/strong> and Head of the Department of Research and Publication Activities of the NIA of Belarus, Candidate of Historical Sciences Dmitry Matveychik<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

During the seminar, students had the opportunity to get acquainted in practice with the specific composition of cases of the late 18th – early 20th centuries. archival funds 131, 136, 562, 1781, 2301, 2429 of the NIA of Belarus, the specifics of their formation, as well as approaches to disclosing the information potential of documents created in the course of activities of fund creators. Similar events are held on the basis of the NIA of Belarus in order to improve the quality of training of future archivists, expand the possibilities of using the archives of confessional institutions and develop a scientific reference apparatus for them.<\/p>\n
