On May 3, as part of the republican action \u00abBelarus remembers. We remember everyone\u00bb<\/strong> employees of the \u00abZonal state archive in Baranovichi\u00bb<\/strong> visited the memorial to the victims of fascism in the Koldychev death camp<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In the spring of 1942, the Nazi invaders created a death camp in the village of Koldychevo<\/strong> for the mass extermination of people. More than 22,000 people were killed in the camp, among whom were prisoners of war first, then Jews. A monument to the victims of the genocide – representatives of three faiths: Jews, Catholics and Orthodox – has been opened at the burial place of the prisoners of the Koldychev death camp.<\/p>\n

The archivists laid flowers at the monument and observed a minute of silence in memory of those who did not return from the war.<\/p>\n
