The exploits of heroes are immortal\u00bb for Victory Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On May 3, 2023, carefully preserving the heritage of the past on the eve of <strong>the 78th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War<\/strong> on the basis of branch library No.3 named after E.R.Romanov, Gomel, started the exhibition <strong>\u00abMay 9, 1945. Heroes of immortal feats\u00bb<\/strong> prepared by the staff of the Department of Information, Publication and Document Use of the \u00abState Archive of the Gomel Region\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>The first visitors to the exhibition were the employees of the regional library-branch No. 3 of Gomel, as well as the employees of the \u00abState Archive of the Gomel Region\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition was prepared with the aim of getting acquainted with archival documents and preserving historical memory, as a guarantee that similar tragic events will not happen again in the future.<\/p>\n<p>The exposition presents more than 35 archival documents reflecting the events of those terrible 4 years of war in the history of the Belarusian people.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition tells about the courage, resilience and strength of the human spirit, about the heroes who lived in inhumane circumstances and loved the Motherland immeasurably, subordinated to a single goal: to help the country defeat the enemy.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the collection of documents <strong>\u00abWe are not slaves! The fates of ostarbeiters in photo documents, letters and memories\u00bb<\/strong> and <strong>\u00abForgive people&#8230;\u00bb Facts about the atrocities of the Nazis in occupied Gomel\u00bb<\/strong>, in the preparation of which the materials of the \u00abState Archive of the Gomel Region\u00bb were used.<\/p>\n<p>Today, it is extremely important to familiarize yourself with the primary sources and archival documents, which make it possible to clearly imagine the situation of those already distant war years. This opportunity is provided by the exhibition \u00abMay 9, 1945.
