{"id":1006330,"date":"2023-03-24T17:17:37","date_gmt":"2023-03-24T14:17:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/en\/?p=1006330"},"modified":"2023-03-24T17:17:37","modified_gmt":"2023-03-24T14:17:37","slug":"information-and-thematic-hour-on-the-topics-khatyn-the-tragedy-of-the-burned-villages-the-land-scorched-by-war","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/en\/news\/1006330","title":{"rendered":"Information and thematic hour on the topics: \u00abKhatyn &#8211; the tragedy of the burned villages\u00bb, \u00abThe land scorched by war\u00bb"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On March 23, 2023, in <strong>the Year of Peace and Creation<\/strong>, an information-thematic hour was held with the convicts at <strong>the Correctional Colony No. 20 of the Penitentiary Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Gomel Region<\/strong> on the topics: <strong>\u00abKhatyn is the tragedy of the burned villages\u00bb<\/strong> (on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the burning of Khatyn), <strong>\u00abThe land scorched by the war&#8230;\u00bb<\/strong> (about the destruction (burning) of settlements in the Polessky region during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945).<\/p>\n<p>The meeting was organized on the initiative of Correctional Colony No. 20 with the aim of moral and spiritual education of the special contingent, the formation of moral values among convicts, the development of positive moral qualities, self-awareness, the ability to understand the feelings and actions of other citizens.<\/p>\n<p>Speakers: <strong>Elena Valentinovna Domashkevich, Head of the Information and Use of Documents Department of the Zonal State Archives in Mozyr<\/strong>, and <strong>Head of the Local History Department of the Mozyr Central Library named after M. A. S.
