Semyonov\u201d the employees of the archive held an information hour on the topic: \u201cKhatyn.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Tragedy and Memory\u201d, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Khatyn tragedy.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The children got acquainted with archival documents, photographs, learned about the events that took place in the village of Khatyn and the fate of its inhabitants, as well as about the memorial complex created at the site of the tragedy.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">During the war years, the Nazis carried out more than 140 major anti-partisan punitive operations in the occupied territory of Belarus.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Their main goal is the destruction of the partisans.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">However, in fact, the main blow fell on the civilian population.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Villages were burned down, inhabitants were destroyed and driven away for forced labor, their property, livestock, and agricultural products were robbed.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The bells of Khatyn should remind of the tragic fate of the Belarusian villages.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The Khatyn alarm is a memory and a warning.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">It was the dedication, resilience, genuine love for the Motherland of front-line soldiers and home front workers that determined the outcome of the most terrible war in the history of mankind and saved the peoples of the planet from extermination, slavery, and the destruction of national and cultural identity.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">And our very life, the life of our children, grandchildren, everyone who is yet to be born on this earth is a direct merit of the people who gave the world the Great Victory.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"media-1006182\" class=\"wp-image-1006182 alignnone size-full\" title=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/03\/1-8.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"80%\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/03\/1-8.jpg 680w, https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/03\/1-8-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As part of the &#8220;Archives to School&#8221; campaign and events dedicated to the Year of Peace and Creation, with students of the 8th grade of the state educational institution &#8220;Gymnasium&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[2],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-1006181","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-news"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/1006181"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=1006181"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/1006181\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":1006184,"href":"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/1006181\/revisions\/1006184"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=1006181"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=1006181"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/archives.gov.by\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=1006181"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
